Adam Weaver started working for his dad's car dealership when he was 14. “Before I could drive, I worked by washing a lot of cars,” he says. “In the summers while I was in high school, I was an oil change mechanic.” After four years at Michigan State and another four working in Chicago area car dealerships and as a mortgage broker, Weaver returned to Erie to help his father run the family business, Rick Weaver Buick Pontiac GMC. “Ever since my dad purchased the dealership in 1982, it has been 100 percent family-owned,” he says. “I purchased my father's share of the business in 2008, and now I'm running the business and continuing my family's legacy.”

Weaver loves providing the full service spectrum to customers, from sales to maintenance. “My passion is selling cars, interacting with people and talking about the products we sell. Buicks and GMCs are great cars,” he says. “And our service technicians provide the best car maintenance in town, having a combined total of nearly 200 years experience working on every make and model.”

Rick Weaver Buick GMC recently moved their body shop four blocks west of their main location on 12th and Liberty. “Our paint booth is approved for every car manufacturer in the world,” Weaver says. “So, if you have a Lamborghini you want painted, we can do that for you.”

“We love our location in downtown Erie,” Weaver adds, “and we were glad to invest in our city when we opened the new location for our body shop, very close to our main store. When Summit Township and upper Peach Street were growing, there was a big push for dealerships to relocate there, but we didn't feel a need to do that.”

“We believe in our community,” Weaver says, “and we want to give back.” The dealership contributes to support the VFW, YMCA, PBS-WQLN, Barber National Institute, Shriners Hospitals for Children, and many other quality organizations in Erie County. Service has always been important to Rick Weaver Buick GMC. “Providing great service to Erie drives us to excel.”Adam Weaver started working for his dad's car dealership when he was 14.
