Typewriters and adding machines were all the rage when Hagan Business Machines was founded in 1950. As trends in office technology have shifted dramatically over the past few decades, Hagan has remained a leader with respect to their customers and community, continuing to adapt with the times.

Frank Kneidinger understands the importance of providing the best service with honesty and integrity, something he learned from the company's founder, Paul Hagan. In 1960, Frank began his career with Hagan selling Gestetner duplicators, and seventeen years later, he bought the business. After he took over ownership in 1977, Frank Kneidinger introduced copier sales and service to the company's product line — yielding massive growth.

Retiring in 2002, Frank left the business in good hands, since five of his six children continue to own and operate the company. His son Kirk is the Business Manager; Mike is the Sales Manager; and Frank III is the Service Manager. His daughters, Kara and Julia, direct the office and billing and manage postage equipment and shipping systems, respectively.

“It's not unusual for us to work with customers that our father served 30 or 40 years ago; and it's a great feeling to know that our customers continue to feel happy and well-cared for,” says Kirk Kneidinger. “The main thing that sets us apart from our competition is our service and our ongoing ability to give back to the community,” he adds. “We support various non-profits in the area such as: the Achievement Center, United Way and the Barber National Institute.”

Today's realm of business reaches beyond copiers — into printers, faxes, postage equipment, scanners, document management as well as back file scanning service and managed print services, and solutions for filing and retrieving documents - in order to meet the constantly changing needs of business. “The equipment changes, ownership has changed, but one thing remains the same, simply providing the best service and support to meet and exceed customers needs,” says Kirk. “When you combine the best products with the best service, it's easy to stay number one,” adds Mike Kneidinger.Typewriters and adding machines were all the rage when Hagan Business Machines was founded in 1950.
