In the almost 30 years that the Ehrman family has been running Allburn Florists, much has changed such as an expanded store and services, but the commitment to quality service and personal relationships has remained the same.

One thing that hasn't changed over the years is Allburn's tradition of family ownership and individualized service. Over 115 years ago the Allburn family began selling homegrown peppers and tomatoes eventually expanding to flowers. John Ehrman, who began working for the Allburn family in the mid-1960s and acted as their head floral designer for many years, along with his wife Carolyn, purchased the business. The Ehrman family is committed to providing the best service and the freshest flowers. Various members of the Ehrman family continue to work in the business today including John and Carolyn, son Chris, daughter Melissa and a third generation.

Since purchasing the shop in the mid-1980s, the Ehrmans have tripled the size of the showroom to better highlight their unique arrangements of floral displays. Allburns has evolved over the years from a grower of flowers and plants to offering flowers and plants from around the world and increased home décor and permanent arrangements as well as expanding its special event services.

“We enjoy providing unique floral designs for businesses, schools and universities, non-profits and more. Whether it's a large convention or a private celebration, we can provide flowers, plant rental, display work — we're so much more than a simple corner flower shop,” says manager Chris Ehrman.

In addition to a wide variety of fresh flowers for any event, holiday or occasion including weddings, funerals, birthdays, and anniversaries, Allburn Florists also specializes in permanent silk flower arrangements. It offers plants, dish gardens and a varied gift selection. Allburns provides the freshest in-seasonal flowers, and guarantees same-day local delivery.

“Our history is what makes us unique,” says Ehrman. “We've been in the same location for 50 years. Customers who live out of town remember us from their childhood and are glad to see that we're still here and continue to use us as their Florists for all of life's events. It's not uncommon for us to provide flower services for a wedding, then a baby shower, a baptism, a confirmation, and so on. We cherish these relationships and appreciate our lifetime customers.”In the almost 30 years that the Ehrman family has been running Allburn Florists, much has changed such as an expanded store and services, but the commitment to quality service and personal relationships has remained the same.
