Glenwood Beer Distributors, was incorporated in the common-wealth of Pennsylvania in 1961. It was founded by James H. Green, and Allen L. Green. Today, it is owned and operated by James Mantyla, John Stefanik and Michael Green. It has grown from a small neighborhood beer distributor to become the largest malt beverage distributor in Northwest Pennsylvania, based on the 13 counties they currently service. “I'm proud to be part of a company my grandfather and father worked so hard to develop. I think they would be extremely proud of where their little company is today,” said Mike Green.

Glenwood Beer Distributors is active in the local community by sponsoring a number of events like: “8 Great Tuesday” the Port Erie concert series, “Panegyri” Greekfest, Bikefest, and the largest bike night at Buffalo Wild Wings with Harley Davidson of Erie, and many more. “We ‘think local' through supporting our community with sponsorships and donations,” Stefanik says. “We sell national brands, but when you purchase one of our brands it helps to support the community and the 78 families that work at Glenwood Beer,” Stefanik says.

Glenwood Beer sells many brands like, Miller Lite, Coors Light, Sam Adams, Blue Moon, Corona, Mike's Hard Lemonade, Genesee and Seagram's Coolers to name a few. In total, Glenwood Beer Distributors represent 27 different Brewers. “We have quite a diverse portfolio with different Lagers, Ales, Stouts, Pilsners and IPA's and everything in between,” says Jim Mantyla, President.

From its humble beginnings in 1961 as a neighborhood beer distributor at 38th and Cherry, Glenwood Beer has grown into the largest wholesaler of malt beverage in Northwest Pennsylvania, based on the territory they service. “We've been able to get to that point because we're always catering to the changing trends and what our customers want and need,” Mantyla says. “It's a great business to be part of.”Glenwood Beer Distributors, was incorporated in the common-wealth of Pennsylvania in 1961.
