Jarid A. Barringer is a man with a passion for the arts, and not just the arts, but a heart for people, community, and all things uplifting. Formerly from New Jersey, Jarid worked for the Philadelphia Daily News as a photography intern learning under some of the best photographers and photo editors in the tri-state area. From there, his network and talents landed him a job at The Philadelphia Tribune, the nation's oldest newspaper serving the African-American community. In those years, Jarid joined an organization that helped prepare him for the next level of photojournalism, The Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists. In just one year, he was nominated and elected to serve as Secretary of this illustrious organization. Through hard work and the help of those around him cultivating his skills, Jarid got the call to be a staff photographer at the Erie Times-News where he covers everything from enterprise to spot news.
